Paving

Dawson Construction Limited owns and operates four separate asphalt plants. Included in these are:

Stationary located at Kamloops, BC 200 tonnes per hour

Mobile 350 tonnes per hour

Mobile 300 tonnes per hour

Mobile 150 tonnes per hour

All plants have their own Laydown equipment and personnel attached to them. They are all baghouse equipped and meet all current environmental standards.

Crushing

Dawson Construction Limited owns and operates three separate Crushing spreads; well suited to the production of all Paving, Construction and Maintenance Aggregates.

Highway Construction

Dawson has been active in the BC Roadbuilding industry since the 1920’s. Recently completed projects include the Trans Canada Highway realignment at 3 Valley Gap including a new bridge over the Eagle River and CPR Track, Paving Highway 16 on the Queen Charlotte Islands, straightening and widening of Highway 97 near Lac La Hache, Oil Patch Access Road construction north of Fort St. John, Taxiway reconstruction at the Kamloops Airport and Trans Canada Highway rock excavation near Golden.

These contracts typically include Clearing and Grubbing, Soil and Rock excavation, embankment construction, drainage culverts, aggregate processing and placing, as well as Asphalt Paving. On occasion, Bridge Construction and Rock Slope stabilization are also part of the Scope of Work.

Site Servicing

Dawson completes a wide variety of site servicing contracts each year. The owners range from the Provincial Government to Municipalities to Private Developers. The work is typically completed to a turn-key basis and includes water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer, as well as shallow utilities, curb, gutter and sidewalk, roadway gravelling and paving.

Recent site servicing projects have included numerous new subdivisions in the Kamloops and Fort St. John areas, City street reconstruction in several Municipalities, infrastructure upgrades at the Thompson Rivers University and a variety of commercial facility improvements for private developers.

Gravel Sales

Dawson Construction can supply and sell gravel from a variety of locations throughout British Columbia. We have secure sources in:
