Dawson Construction has made it their mission to develop and implement Quality Management Systems, which includes construction material design and quality control testing to ensure compliance of materials, and to assess the suitability of a site to provide valuable information to clients in order to help them save time and money. All Quality Management functions are performed by Dawson Construction’s Quality Control Department. The Dawson Construction Quality Control Department aims to provide a wide range of laboratory and field testing services, including: Quality Control, Quality Management and Project Supervision. We employ qualified CCIL Certified Material Technicians, experienced in delivering accurate analysis and recommendations regarding soils, aggregates, compaction, coring, asphalt testing and analysis.
Dawson Construction utilizes a stationary laboratory located in Kamloops, BC which is CCIL Certified for Asphalt Type B; as well, Dawson Construction maintains several mobile asphalt analysis laboratories and mobile aggregate testing laboratories. Dawson Construction also utilizes Troxler nuclear field density gauges, non-nuclear Trans Tech density gauges, and asphalt coring rigs.
Additionally the Technical Services Division provides support services to the Aggregates/Paving Division and to the Civil Construction Division by creating Traffic Management Plans, performing quality control for projects, and preparing development plans.
