Various 2017 MoTI paving projects.
The project consists of approximately 6.0 kilometres of roadway widening and general safety improvements along highway 93S between Km 10.9 and Km 16.9. Major scope items including: grubbing, stripping, grading, embankment construction, drainage, detours, traffic management, culvert supply and installation, sub-base course, base course, asphalt surfacing, signing, and pavement markings.
Replacement of Crassier Creek Bridge and approximately 1,100 metres of new road work.
Upgrade the sanitary, storm, and water infrastructure in the Phase 1 area of West Fernie; Install highway crossings to allow Phase 1 to connect to Phase 2; Upgrade roads in the Phase 1 area of West Fernie.
Mill and fill paving between Jasper and Hinton, and aggregate crushing.
Reconstruction of approximately 1km of Highway 5 North of Valemount to increase the clearance capacity under the two CNR overheads located near to the Tete-Jaune Junction.
The project work scope consists of the rehabilitation of General Aviation (GA) Apron; New Helipads; New Access Road; and Various Electrical Works. The executed work includes: Topsoil Stripping; Pavement Removal; Common Excavation; Supply & Place Granular Subbase; Supply & Place Granular Base; Supply & Place PCC; Supply & Place HMA; Line Markings; and Electrical Works.
The construction of approximately 1,000 m of underground storm sewer with sizes ranging from 300 mm to 1050 mm diameter, associated inlet and outlet headwalls, manholes, and riprap armor, and approximately 2,000 m3 of earthworks related to the construction of a stormwater management facility.
Highway widening and placement of 2.3 km median barrier and intersection improvements including 1 km of southbound passing lane extension and U-Turn facilities. Culvert extensions, retaining walls, highway grading and drainage construction, overlay and level course paving. Traffic and Quality Control.
Asphalt Resurfacing of 5 separate areas in Kamloops consisting of Quality Management, Traffic Management, Survey Layout and Site Survey Plan, Site Modifications, Aggregate Production, Asphalt Mix Design, Cold Milling, Remove and Replace CRB, Pulverizing, Supply and Apply Tack Coat, Bottom Lifts, Level Course, Top Lift with Polymer AC, Top Lift and Shouldering. Red Bridge Work consisted of Milling, Membrane and Paving.
Grading and roadwork consisting of approximately 79,000 m3 of Type D excavation. The construction of a reinforced slope retention system and the installation of drilled horizontal slope drains. The construction of approximately 131m of cast-in-place reinforced concrete barrier and slab. The work also consists of 7,723 tonne asphalt paving, drainage works, barrier removal and placement, wildlife exclusion fencing, quality and traffic management.
Supply and installation of water supply system, construction of reservoir and booster station.
Combined 70,737 tonnes of asphalt paving.
Construction of breakwater, boat launch, and approaches.
